Carrie Mac kicked off the night was a 30 minute set consisting of mainly all original songs. Songs including ” Falling At My Feet”  and “Till I See You Again” were a clear hit with the crowd, and a flawless cover of “Rude Boy” by Rihanna was performed towards the end of the set. Her song writing ability is simply amazing and last nights performance proved that this singer-songwriter from Edinburgh really has what it takes to make it big. With a new album promised soon, we can only expect bigger and better things from her.
Next up was another Scottish singer, Leon Jackson, who first made it big  after winning the X-Factor in 2007. His 30 minute performance included  “Just the way you are” by Bruno Mars that allowed the crowd to singalong. His overall performance sounded very similar to Paulo Nutini, however he did seem much more nervous whilst on stage. This may have been due to the constant shouts from the crowd such as “We Love You Leon” which were often screamed aloud by the group of 50+ year old woman that were clearly having a good time. Overall, It was a good performance and he successfully managed to get the crowd hyped.
Finally, Lawson were on stage to perform the last date of the tour. The 4 piece London based boy band, performed a 60 minute set with songs such as “Everything was easy” and “Waterfall”. Having performed with acts such as Avril Lavigne, The Saturdays and The Wanted, this band have a strong fanbase which was evident on the night, with so many of the crowd singing along to every word throughout the performance, and with some dedicated fans even displaying hand made posters and customised t-shirts. Further on in the set, a cover of “Firework”by Katy Perry was performed along with “Anybody out there” and “Red Sky” ,before the band left the stage.
And with chants including “Take it off” and “One more song”, it wasn’t long before the band returned to perform another few songs including an amazing upbeat cover of “A-Team” by Ed Sheeran.
It was a really good gig overall and the atmosphere was great. The band were clearly very passionate about their music and their fans.
